Looks like a young Mud Dauber, doesn't appear as long and skinny as an
adult, but it could be something else. Any idea what type of wasp it is?

I have no idea what it is...these wasps are plentiful in the area.

United States: located in the thumb region of Michigan...between Port
Huron and Flint and 40 miles north of Detroit.
