Strange and beautiful. Before I subscribed to this group, the only
ginger I knew about was the sort in ginger beer!

Ornamental Gingers are my favourite plants, there's such a variety of
foliage and flowers.

As an aside, up until recently a fair percentage of the world's ginger was
grown in the area where I live. The local ginger factory boasts it produced
the world's finest ginger.

Thanks - those products have never come my way, but I daresay their
innovations are behind the processed ginger products I do use.

If you ever can find some, the ginger cordial is absolutely wonderful. I
usually mix it with lemonade (the carbonated drink, not the American version
of lemonade), it's a most refreshing drink.

Umm, I can find ginger cordials made by small firms from imported ginger
extracts (quite possibly yours) and local water etc. They are very good
and they make a lot of summer drink per kilo of shopping brought home by
bicycle.
Happy thoughts of summer: today it rained from dawn to dusk, temp 10C.

Don't come here in February! Come in May or June when the light's good.
