Latour-Marliac Waterlily Nursery.
This is the waterlily nursery at Temple-sur-Lot, France, of Joseph Bory
Latour-Marliac, the man that made coloured hardy waterlilies and inspired Monet to make a water garden for them and to paint them. So we have him to thank for the lilies and the Monet's paintings. Prior to his breeding efforts all hardy waterlilies were white. |
