Weed of the week: Canadian fleabane (Conyza canadensis)
Weeds with small drab flowers can be mistaken for weeds that aren't yet
flowering. So you think you needn't hurry to pull them out when in fact they're about to ripen thousands of busy little seeds. Canadian fleabane does this very successfully: it looks like a young plant of Canadian goldenrod. Don't delay, weed it today!
