Where are my posts going?
I've sent stuff to this group but can't see it here. Has anyone seen
this week's weed? Or my comment on Barbara's Alstroemeria? To make a useful test post, here's a pictu [ Section: 1/1 File: z_Ornament_0076a.JPG UUencoded by: Turnpike Integrated Version 5.02 S ] sum -r/size 12377/544013 section (from "begin" to "end") sum -r/size 53689/394819 entire input file -- Sue ] |

It was an Open Garden - the owners let everyone shelter in their conservatory and even entertained us with a box of "can you guess what this is?" objects. -- Sue ] |

The flowers are Alstroemeria (your description of the habit of growth was spot-on too) but seemed more like A. psittacina than A. brasiliensis. -- Sue ] |

It happens that Mad Cow formulated :
The flowers are Alstroemeria (your description of the habit of growth was spot-on too) but seemed more like A. psittacina than A. brasiliensis. Ah, thank you so much for that, indeed that is what it is. Now I know, I will dig some of them up and put them in a better place and look after them. :-) This is the first time they have flowered since we've owned the land and I never really bothered to look after them, I certainly will now. :-) Thanks! -- Barbara http://www.flickr.com/photos/barbara-h/ |

I look forward to pictures. Mine flower over quite a long period too. -- Sue ] |
