These two trees in our garden began blooming about ten days ago.
They're quite vigorous and seem to enjoy Foca's dry heat. Can anyone identify them please? TIA. -- Bob www.kanyak.com -- Bob Sidera errantia quibus procella tenebrarum in aeternum servata est www.kanyak.com |

I ran into the former owner of our apartment and still our building's gardener yesterday evening and he said they were called "oya ağacı", which means "lace tree" in Turkish. That led me to: https://tr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oya_a%C4%9Fac%C4%B1 and thence to: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lagerstroemia_indica He's got another one (white) in his own yard. -- Bob Sidera errantia quibus procella tenebrarum in aeternum servata est www.kanyak.com |
