Nice shot. What is rowan fruit ? Cannot recall hearing the term

this tree is sometimes called 'mounrain-ash' because of the leafage. in fact it is a member of the rose-familiy (sorbus aucuparia). the one in the image is a wild plant. there are cultivars though, whose fruit are edible at least in preserved form.
