ideas for privacy/border shrub?
 
hi...
i live in zone 6-southern nj, clay and sandy soil mixed. we are looking for
somethign to plant along our fence line that will grow to 7-9 feet....any
suggestions? some locals have suggested redtwig dogwood...

Hi Betsey - Red Twig dogwood or French grafted lilac will suffice. The
lilacs will reach the maximum height faster than the dogwoods. Also the
lilacs will provide nice blossoms for the table.

hi derryl...
thank you for the input...a local grower also suggested lilac as well....any
idea on how long for it to reach height? what is the annual growth rate?

im thinking of mixing lilac with pussy willows along the fence line...your
thoughts?
