Default Leland Cypress Yellowing

I'm a bit conserned for the health of my Leland Cypress. Wanting big fast
growing trees to screen us from the road, we have been planting a number every
year. We now have about 20 trees with heights from 2' to 9'. The past winter
was a bit harsh and they are all now sort of a yellow green rather than a deep
color. There had been lots of snow and now lots of rain, so I doubt they are
drying out. Any thoughts?

Yellowing leaves or branches after lots of rain is usually an indication of
too much water sitting at the roots of the trees. They may improve once the
weather warms and rain slows. They should dry out and you'll see some
improvement in the color. Make sure that you don't have too much irrigation
this summer if they are in a location where water gathers at their feet.
Good luck.
