Surprise, surprise
I had a nice surprise this morning--turned out the non-flowering crocosmia I'd
been raging at for 2 years and was about to dig up and pitch out (came with the house) suddenly transformed into yellow Dutch Iris. I'm delighted, but I'm also a greedy soul so I hope I get some blues and violets too. zemedelec |

Surprise, surprise
aren't the fairies incredible ?? I love things like that. I have one of
those too...........I thought there were daylilies coming up in two places in a new bed, and was wondering how the broken herb jars I'd laid down and planted in would take the stress of daylilies growing up thru the openings when a few days later I was cutting thru the side yard and a yellow and white flower caught my eye and I walked over to the spot where the "daylilies" were coming up and it weren't a daylily, it was an IRIS???? a tiny little iris rising on leaves that were resemblent of daylilies, and I got all excited and ran to the other side and sure enough, there were emerging buds on the one coming up thru the broken jar's opening.........wow...........LOVE these surprises!! madgardener "Zemedelec" wrote in message ...
