Annoying pest

Does anybody have a suggestion for how to git rid of a annoying pest
that just wont go away? or at least keep its damage to a minimum? it
always seems to have a negative affect whenever it appears and disrupts
the gardens happy environment! Some pests have some good things about
them even tho they are pests, but this one seems to be just plain ol'
nasty! Its this pests view on life in general i think that makes it so
unhappy. any suggestions? :)
