Default Dwarf Apricot Drooping Leaves

I planted a dwarf apricot last year. Although the tree has not given
fruit, it has thrived - until last week. I looked at the tree on
Monday, and it looked alive and healthy. On Wednesday, every leaf was
drooping. It is now Sunday, and the leaves are still drooping although
none have dropped yet. The leaves are not dry to the touch - they are
still quite moist. I live in the Dallas area, and the only recent
change for this tree is that we had quite a bit of rain early in the
week.

Does anyone have ideas about what the problem might be?

Thanks!
