Default fig cutting fruits too fast

I started a mission fig root cutting seven months ago. It's in a
quart container under grow lights, and I give it lots of water. It's
only five inches high but it made a fruit already and is making two
more fruit. I want to plant it out later and have large fruit crops.
How do I encourage vegitative growth at this stage instead of fruit?
Should I clip off the fruit?
