woodland management points

Someone mentioned management of a group of trees by phone recently.

There are some very well written articles here that might apply. Especially
"Managing Cavity Trees for Wildlife in the Northeast"

Something to think about.

Beware of so-called tree experts who do not understand tree biology.
Storms, fires, floods, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions keep reminding us
that we are not the boss.

Also think about cavities in trees and how they support wildlife as
well. People treating cavities in trees have literally removed the
habitat of Purple Martins and they are almost completely dependant on
nesting condo's. Same with wild parrots, and a host of other cavity
nesters.
