magnolia leaves

Hi, my felix jury magnolia has started to leaf up and has now got 5 leaves on it ,the problem is that ive noticed that at the base of 2 of the leaves has started to go brown , what could be causing this? the plant is 3-4 ft high and in a very large contaner, ive had it since last september and ive had it in the kitchen since ive had it to over winter it, now ive been slowley introducing it outside each day now the weather is warmer. any help would be great.

Kind of guessing here, but have you used fertilizer of any kind?
Sometimes you can burn leaves. Spikes work best for container growing.
Have you checked the underside of the leaves for pests? Could have
picked something up being outside. IF there are arn of cottony looking
spots clean with a mild dish soap and water solution. Can't think of
anything else. Hope this helps
