Hi John

We always go with Petunia's in our hanging baskets.

My view is that you maybe a little late. We tried sowing our own last year and bought seeds from a recognised supplier. They were sown early and brought on in a green house. I have to say they were very dissapointing and have reverted back to buying trays of plants from out local independent nursery.

Hi John

Crikey they are expensive.

What about buying some plug plants that are partially started a friend always does this on other types of bedding plants and they come through the postal service in blighty ok.

I found these guys in Jersey from a quick web search. I didn't check if they send to France but can't see why not.

No garden suppliers able to post plants to France its regulations god knows why, just bought 4 Hydrangeas for 10 euro about the equivalent of £9 petunias and impatiants as a small plug plant are 50p each uk i was buying at £9 for 120 small plugs no wonder nearly everyone down here grows veg from seed, potatoes are more than likely to be decimated by colorado beetle luckily the soil is very fertile and fine everything grows like wildfire including the weeds
