Scott Spreader
(Plastic) wheels seem to have seized on a Scott brand
spreader (possibly product no.10590016 on the Scott web site which offers no information.) This is the gadget for which the wheels turn a cogged cylinder (only when a hand lever is held down) to release fertilizer or seed etc.) What advice for maintenance? -- Don Phillipson Carlsbad Springs (Ottawa, Canada) |

Try spraying it with WD-40. If that don't work, chuck it and buy a new one :) |

You have to hose these things out thoroughly after every use to prevent corrosion. A little oil on all the bearing surfaces might loosen it up. |
