No. I planted in the last two years:

'Forest Pansy' redbud
Chinese pistache
'Dixieland' peach
'Thundercloud' plum
4 Eastern redbuds
3 Cedar elms
Paulownia
2 Desert Willow
3 Vitex (if you count them as trees)
'Mollies Delicious' apple
'Granny Smith' apple
Mesquite
2 Crape myrtles

That's just trees. I also have three old growth live oak trees, all on half
acre of property and I still have far too much sun!

No, I planted 18 trees (IIRC) in the first two years I lived
here. Now I several more to plant, and I need to figure out where
they will be happy and look good. I LOVE trees!

Heh heh. My neighbor is a serious tree-addict. We live on 1/4 acre plots
(about 75 X 100 feet rectangles), and I have counted over 25 trees (not
shrubs!) on his property. This is in addition to the above-ground pool,
deck, shed, sunroom, addition to the house . . .

He doesn't have much lawn left now -- and all the trees are only 5-7 years
old! I can't wait to see what it looks like in 20 years or so. Great guy,
nice neighbor -- but an addict. :-)

I have a half acre with about 160 trees (oak, birch, redbud, cedar,
dogwood, maples, long/short needle pines, locust, poplar, sweet gum,
sycamore, hickory, cherry, hackberry.) Some are well over 50 feet
tall. The tulip and sweet gum are over 80 feet tall. All except 8
were planted by mother nature and grow in random groupings. Yet, I
have large areas of sunny lawn. I can see how having many trees 5-7
years old might look a bit odd.
