What's the name of this flower?

Hello, All:

Could anyone tell the name of the flower at the following links? Is it azalea? What's its Latin name?

It's in southern Virginia, and it blooms mid- to late May every year.

Yes, it's an azalea. Azaleas are in the genus Rhododendron. There are
many, many hybrids falling into two subgeneri. Sunset lists over 20
different types of azaleas that are suitable for western gardens, with
many varieties of each type. There are likely additional varieties
suitable for eastern gardens. Thus, it is not possible to get the
botanical name of the species you pictured without first knowing the
variety.
