I think that the one on the left looks is a crabapple of some sort and
the one on the right is a sorbus (aka Rowan, aka mountain ash).

Likely the one on the right is mountain ash, either American or European.
Determining which would call for further forensics -- the leaflets of the
European are proportioned a bit differently and are slightly hairy on the
bottom. The one of the left could well be crabapple but there are several
different sorts as well as varieties bred for their flowering quality.
Various sorts grow anywhere from the deep south to well into Canada (not to
mentions any that may have been planted as an ornamental) Spines on stems?
Leaves rounded bases or more elliptical? Hairy bottoms on leaves? Any small
signs of lobes on the leaves?

Crab apple and pyrocantha

Pyracantha does not have a compound leaf, plus it is not a tree.

Despite having berries like a pyracantha, it's not that. I'm even more
sure today that it's a Sorbus (Rowan/Mountain Ash).

Deamons i detest photobucket. 20 dogzillion crappy scripts and it locks
up and won't do anything. Try BayImages instead. Much cleaner.
