Lobelia - cut back?
Lobelia is billed as an annual, but ISTR that someone somewhere in some galaxy said that if it is cut back, it will bloom again. T/F? -- Polar |

Lobelia - cut back?
Which Lobelia? Its a large genus.
Lobelia cardinalis, L.syphilitica and their hybrids are perennials and shouldn't be cut back. Are you talking about Lobelia erinus? The plant is so small growing that there really isn't that much to cut back. smeric wrote in message ... Just rechecked the Sunset Garden Book (Western) -- said "self-seed" in adapted areas. So I guess I might as well pull up the pathetic stubs I left and hope it does self-seed. Thanks for reply. smeric wrote in message .. . Lobelia is billed as an annual, but ISTR that someone somewhere in some galaxy said that if it is cut back, it will bloom again.
