Advice needed - new sod lawn dying in random patches
Hi,
We installed a new fescue sod lawn nine days ago. All was going well until just a couple of days ago, when randomly sized and spaced patches began turning yellowish-brown. These dying areas have no roots whatsoever - the bottom of the grass "stalk" is completely blunt, suggesting that something may be eating the roots. However, with the exception of exactly one white grub, I have been unable to find any other sign of grubs or bugs anywhere in the lawn. The unaffected areas are taking root and coming along beautifully. I am in the process of finding someone local to properly diagnose this problem, but I was wondering if anyone might have any suggestions in the mean time. Thanks, -Bob |
