Peony leaves curling and small buds
 

I have mature peony plants and some are fine while others leaves are
curling inward and have very small buds. I have checked for bugs but
can't find any evidence. Any suggestions?

Maybe they're just a bit later. I feed my peonies with a bulb booster
type food at the same time I'm feeding the bulbs (right about now).
Unless they're too deep, they usually do just fine. But they are all
on a different schedule (over a six week period or so).
