Strange Occurance

Tonight I was taking my bird feeders down for the night, (raccoons) and the
Scotch Pine tree they were hanging in was humming. (I'm not crazy.) I noticed
that all the branches of the tree were swarming with June Bugs. Then I went
back to sit on the deck and one of the close Scotch Pines in the back yard had
the same thing going on. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? (I
live on 20 acres and have thousands of Scotch & White Pines. The Whites are not
affected.)
Thanks for any info.

They arent junebugs, they are european chafers, which are slighty smaller, but
look pretty much the same. They like to hang out on scotch pine at night time
to mate and what not. You may want to check out your lawn and any shrubs you
have because the larvae can be a big problem during mid summer.
