Free logs of New Orleans Resurrection Fern

....if you get there before the City does. At the corner of Coliseum and
Fourth around 3:30 PM today (Thus.) a huge oak branch, covered with
resurrection fern, had fallen in the middle of the road. If I had a pickup and
a chain saw I know what I'd do--just what a friend did for me and a few other
people, not least himself: sawed it up into 5 or 6 foot lengths and took them
home to various gardens. The resurrection fern, as long as you leave it on the
tree, will continue to "die" and resurrect without any extra watering,
according to the weather. It makes a nice background for other
plants/conversation piece. Any people who get here simultaneously, be nice and
share.

You lucky dog living in New Orleans. Lucky dog!

We go about one time every year. It's a 8 hour drive, but we love it there. I
have my live oaks dressed in the Spanish moss and winter it in the greenhouse.
Some of it has lived during the winters here and I'm beginning to notice it
growing on other trees in the neighborhood. The birds love it, as do the
squirrels. I'm happy to provide it.
