Default Marathon II and Scott's Sun and Shade seed

My front half yard is Marathon II SOD, looks real nice.

The other half I plan on seeding as there is no foot traffic. Do you
think Scott's sun and shade will be similiar in texture and thickness?
Also the Sun and shade will be green year round right?

These two grass lawns are about 10 feet apart separated by concrete.
Will they eventually blend together and be a hodge podge? Thanks!
