Default Little fountain plant (ornamental grass)

Miscanthus sinensis 'Kleine Fontaine' ('Little Fountain') is what many old
timers still call an ornamental grass.

Ornamental grasses are readily available at garden centers everywhere, even
such commonplace sources as Home Depot and Lowes. They should not be hard to
find them come springtime when they are in stock.

Does anyone know where in Northwest Washington (preferably in the Skagit,
Whatcom or Snohomish Counties) I could find a Little Fountain plant.

Here's
a link to a picture of them:

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Jessica

Places like Lowe's run towards the 'common or garden' varieties ;-) This
particular cultivar isn't common.

If you're searching online, btw, the German has a typo in it in the
caption to Graham Rice's photo. It should be Miscanthus sinensis "Kleine
Fontaene". (The a is a Umlaut)

There are many attractive smaller Miscanthus cultivars. A useful list:

One of the nicest commercial sites for ornamentals grasses is
http://www.hostas.com/ They have many photos and some very useful charts.

Cheers!
