I got a pumpkin! What now?
I finally got a couple of pumpkins on the vine. Is there anything I should do
now to have the energy of the plant go into making the fruits grow faster and larger? |

Hash: SHA1 I finally got a couple of pumpkins on the vine. Is there anything I should do now to have the energy of the plant go into making the fruits grow faster and larger? Two things. 1. Regular watering. 2. Watch out for the neighborhood kids, especially as those pumpkins start turning orange. Also, if you keep only one pumpkin per plant it will grow far larger than it otherwise would. I advise clipping the flowers and other pumpkins from each plant if you want big ones. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 6.5.8 for non-commercial use http://www.pgp.com iQA/AwUBPx9S80gpFVMHNp9UEQJHSACgtE3YBBSZBlqHXv6/pKPR1NBYp1YAoMcp M3SuDkdgDPBsL5JnAjZt6tkr =5q59 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
