Sunflower question

I've a number of sunflowers growing in back that are now looking
pretty ratty, as in the flower is gone and for the most part so are
the tiny yellow tips that were on the seeds. Since I intend to let
the birds have at them, should I simply leave the heads on the
stalks and let nature take its course? I'm assuming the birds will
get those on the ground that fall once the heads dry.

Hey John,
You can leave them as is or you can cut off the heads and put them wherever
you want. Then you can pull up the stalks and clean up the mess.
