Thanks in advance. #1 looks like a seedling of a tulip tree AKA 'yellow poplar' (Liriodendron tulipfera). This is a splendid tree, the tallest broadleaf trees in the eastern US. This one is not a weed but rather a good plant out of place. #2 may be a smartweed or knotweed (Polygonum sp.), with the emphasis on WEED. -- Pat in Plymouth MI Any technology distinguishable from magic is insufficiently advanced. #2 may be a smartweed or knotweed (Polygonum sp.), with the emphasis on WEED. #1 looks spot on for tuliptree I am leaning towards a bedstraw or carpetweed on #2 |
