Hemlock Needles Changing From Green To Orange Question
Hello:
I live 25 due west of Boston. Have a massive Hemlock in my backyard. Have just begun to notice that "some" of the needles are turning from green to orange. Know nothing about trees, but would sure love to keep this one healthy. Can't remember if this happened last year, or in years past; uncertain about. a. Is this turning of color normal for this time of the year here in the northeast ? b. Might it be due to this wooly agelard infestation; would this also cause the color change ? Much thanks, Bob |

Much thanks, Bob Take a sample to your cooperative extension. Try to select a piece that shows the transition from healthy to diseased/damaged. Wolly adelgid is endemic in the northeast, see any white fuzzy specks? |
