Worm composting recommendations (books/suppliers)

Happy New Year england.rec.Gardening folk !

I am looking for some recommendations for books on worm composting and
a good UK supplier. So feel free to post your tips here.

I searched Google recently for some UK suppliers and came up with a
couple of useful hits. Here's a summary (in no particular order) :

* http://www.wormshop.co.uk/ - £38.50
1 kilo Composting Worms with Bedding Block
A Value Pack of 1000g composting worms (approx 1800-2000) and a
coir bedding block to start a wormery or to give an ailing kit
a boost. The worms are a mixture of species (mainly reds and
dendras)

* http://www.organiccatalog.com/ £25.55
1000 compost worms, but they (HDRA) do not provide any detail
on the type of worms supplied (unusual for an organisation which
claims to be organic specialists)

* http://www.recycleworks.co.uk £22.99
Eisenia foetida - Rubellis terrestris 1000 worms

* http://www.wormsdirectuk.co.uk £18.00
0.5kg (approx. 2000 worms) "Special Composting Mix Worms...
Eisenia foetida ... Dendrodrilus rubidus ..." etc.

You'll get more relevant answers in uk.rec.gardening; this group is
predominantly American.

It's not necessary to spend all that dosh to start a wormery
btw...make your own from a 2nd hand large plastic barrel and find
someone local to give you a scoop of starter worms.
