I'd like to hear some recent reviews on lawnmowers. Consumer Reports
recommends the YardMachine 439G, but I think I'd prefer an electric
mower. I have a small yard, so a cord wouldn't pose a problem, and I
like the ecological aspect as well as the maintenance ease of an
electric mower. The ability to mulch AND bag is important to me too,
as I'd like to mulch the lawn and occasionally collect the clippings
for the compost pile.

Any recommendations, either gas or electric, would be greatly
appreciated.

I have a yard machine and I love it. It gives me no trouble and cuts well.

Had a corded electric mower when I first moved into my last house which had
a very small yard. I spent more time moving the cord out of my way than I
did cutting the grass. I HATED it.

If your yard is small enough, maybe one of the new rechargeable battery
powered mowers would be a good choice.

Neither one. The best machine is the neighbor's son. No maintenance,
no repair, no spare parts. Just don't use it around lunch time, can
get very expensive.
