Default Ground Cover Question Zone 10b

Can anyone suggest a ground cover for an area that gets a lot of sun and is
very moist? Its actually in the swale in front of the house. All the St.
Augustine grass there has died and has been replaced by several different
kinds of weeds. Thnx.

Depending on the size of your area, how about some ornamental grasses
interspersed with moisture loving perennials? Grasses in the carex family
like moist feet.

Spanish Shawl (Heterocentrons elegans) will take lots of water and give you
purple flowers in the morning. It spreads very fast so make sure you can
control it.
