Ivy ID
After the surprise of learning about mature and teenaged English ivy,
I'm wondering what sort *I* have. I've never seen any 'mature' leaves on it, nor berries/seeds. *Is* it English ivy, or some other sort? Pic at alt.binaries.pictures.gardens |

I could not receive your picture but Hedera helix can seemingly go on for
ever with only the juvenile foliage. Flowering and fruiting only takes place when it has grown to such an extent that there is nowhere else to go. At the very top of a wall or the ends of branches of a host tree. Only when its foliage is proud will it flower and enter secondary foliage stage. Many of the newer varieties I have never seen in a mature stage. I know that some gardeners do like Ivies but personally I have spent too much time pulling them off walls and replacing tiles that they have loosened. I would not miss any of them.
