Mystery Plant ID - Photo Included
Recently, my neighbor put up a new fence between us, and in the
process I gained a few plants that were previously on his side of the fence. Pictured here is one of them: http://www.inhouzemusic.com/z/mystery.html Anyone know what kind of plant this is, and what it would take to keep it happy? Thanks. -Fleemo |

Looks very much like a very healthy young Camellia~ though with some
reservations. How lucky can one get? It would seem to need nothing other than an annual acidic mulch to remain flourishing, though is very forgiving. Will probably flower next spring. Best Wishes. It likes acidic soil, positive drainage, and will take full sun to partial shade. |

Because of the wide range of wild guesses you are getting, it would probably
be best to wait until it blooms before finally yanking it out. Some of the guesses are surely wrong because their suggestions have alternate leaves and your plant clearly has leaves in pairs like a dowdy privet. "Fleemo" wrote in message om... Hmmmm. Camelia, Ligustrum, Eugena... this really *is* a mystery
plant! Well, thanks for your input nonetheless. I'll just wait patiently until it identifies itself. Thanks for your input. :) -Fleemo |
