Default Lady in Red and Huumers (nectar not gas)

I planted some "lady's in red" and noticed that the hummingbirds are
attracted to it. Are they able to get nectar from it, or are they
disappointed and will eventually not come back? Do annuals provide nectar
just like perrentials? I live in Pittsburgh, PA.

Thanks

Tom
