Default Flower ID - Looks like a rooster!

It's a flower that looks like a rooster, or someone with a mohawk.
It's a red flower, about 3' high with a fuzzy red convoluted surface.
(think of a sumac texture). It grows on a tubular stalk.

I've never seen it before. It was growing in a front lawn in Toronto.

Most likely celosia, a fairly common and easily grown annual.

Comes in a variety of colors and shapes besides the convoluted 'brain' form.

Also known as 'cockscomb'!
