What's the best way to prune a Christmas Cactus?

Since the stem segments are articulated, obviously it is best to cut the
stems at the joints where the segments meet.

In the spring, cut back the stems several nodes to make the plant
symmetrical. If left un pruned, most CC will be lop sided.
