Has anyone heard of a plant called Joseph's coat?
Hi,
My sister lives in Georgia and has a built in pool and her landscaper recommended a plant called Joseph's coat to plant around the pool. She can't find any information on it by looking on the internet. He told her it is varigated, yellow and green and spreads. Has anyone ever heard of it?...Thanks |

Why doesn't your sister ask her landscaper which plant they are calling
"Joseph's coat" and have them come up with the actual botanical name? Or is that something too obvious for her ape brain to comprehend? They could be alluding to any number of variegated plants from the common "Coleus" to Opuntia monacantha 'Joseph's Coat'!!!!!! http://www.plantcare.com.ne.kr/img/cpage_o/w0182c04.jpg "MaryJoL" wrote in message ... Joseph's Coat = Alternanthera ficoidea. In the north it is a house plant.
In the future, to search on the common name of a plant, go to MBG:W3Tropicos, A HREF="http://mobot.mobot.org/W3T/Search/vast.html"MBG: W3TROPICOS/A, Missouri Botanical Gardens. Type the name in the search field. It will direct you to a garden search engine. Iris, Central NY, Zone 5a, Sunset Zone 40 "A tree never hits an automobile except in self defense." - Woody Allen |

She thought it was a common plant and asked me to try and find out about it
before she called the landscaper. There was no need for the nasty comment...... "Cereus-validus..." wrote in message . com... Oh yeah Maryjane, you are really doing a good job trying to find out about
it. You expect everybody else to do all the work for you. A trained chimp could do a better job than you are doing. And on top of your laziness and incompetence, you have a prissy attitude about it. What a useless goofball you must be. "MaryJoL" wrote in message ... She thought it was a common plant and asked me to try and find out about it before she called the landscaper. You leave absolutely no doubt that you really are a twisted evil fascist
coward, Joe Bob. Why don't you do something constructive like protest the regime that has the US in a free fall national debt and recession instead of showing what a petty prissy jerk you are in a newsgroup? You obviously have absolutely nothing of any value or relevance to say in
any gardening newsgroup. Isn't that correct, you skuzzy troll boy? You are one paranoid little weasel desperate for attention, aren't you Joe Bob? You get off on abusing newsgroups, you addled brownshirt Nazi wannabe? Why don't you do everybody a favor just go back to surfing gay porn with the rest of your type?
