Hi Guys

Can someone suggest a ground cover for dry shade in zone 6( The texas
Panhandle). The area I want to plant is mainly in total shade thanks to 3
chinese elm trees and a fence. Part of the area does get about 2-3 hours of
early sun and dappled shade through the rest of the day. The soil here is
alkaline and heavy clay ( wonderful gardening conditions!!) . Any
suggestions would be greatly apreciated

Many Thanks

Sarah

Cyclamen hederifolium -- excellent dry shade groundcover September to
April, but vanishes for much of spring & all of summer.

The best dry shade evergreen groundcover remains English ivy, & if you
select a half-dozen miniature-leaf & tiny variegated forms, these can
provide a wonderfully varied texture without being invasive like regular
ivy.

Variegated Vinca major also does swell in dry shade.
