Craftsman lawn tractor hydrostatic tranny info needed

I have a 50 inch cut 3 blades with kohler command 23 HP
I would like to know about the transmission,
what type of oil goes into them and how much oil?
Has anyone ever changed the screw on oil filter?
How do you check the fluid or does it ever need to be changed?
