Default The Drainage of Land irrigation 1887 FA

The Drainage of Land ,Irrigation ,& Manures by Arthur Roland
1887.Somewhat grubby but a good solid copy.
Brilliant and totally obscure vintage book on land management. Despite
all of this I think a really useful book for the farmer or
smallholder,or even the owner of large boggy gardens! Great sections
on manure & compost!

Some headings :- Land springs,Drainage of wet grass land, Essex
drains, Size & bore of pipes,Wedge & shoulder drains ,Depth of drains
,Stone drains,Tile drains / Iriigation,Catch water meadows ,Flow
meadows ,Management of water meadows / Manures, Sheep dung,Pig dung,
Manure heaps, Mr lawrences method for the preservation of manure,
Compost heaps, Ashes, salt application, firing stubbles etc. etc..
