Lawn weeds
Hi, I'm new to this forum and was wondering if anybody could give me some advice. I have a problem with Yarrow in my lawn, I have tried the usual lawn weedkillers available from the garden center but with no luck. Does anybody out there know if there is a specialist weedkiller to kill Yarrow only? If so where can I get it from? Thanks

Thanks -- jag Good site info as provided by Doug G. http://www.ext.vt.edu/pubs/pmg/index.html What it says for yarrow is to use a product containing Dicamba, spraying in Oct/Nov. As a less suitable alternative, use the common 2,4-D weed killer mixed at a stronger strength and sprayed multiple times. Red |
If you are in the UK use Scotts Verdone Extra or Vitax Lawn Clear. Yarrow is a really easy plant to kill as it is really fern like and has soft tissue. Repeat application every 4 - 6 weeks until the plant has gone. Yarrow will thrive on dry heathlandish lawns.
