Flymo L400 petrol tank

My Flymo L400 hover mower needs a new petrol tank and fuel line but my local lawnmower specialists can't seem to get one. The part isn't listed in Flymo parts catalogues as it is considered part of the engine (Tecumseh).
Has anyone out there encountered this problem? It's a pity to scrap the mower because apart from this it's in great condition.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You need to be looking for a Tecumseh part not a Flymo part. Tecumseh
went bankrupt last year. But parts are still available they just take
forever to get. Try another dealer and be patient.

Agree with the above. Try to find out what Tecumseh engine model it
is. I've even had success just googling the engine model as called
out by the mower manufacturer together with Tecumseh, eg 12387667
Tecumseh, to find the Tecumseh equivalent.

Also, there are Tecumseh parts suppliers on Ebay. I just got a carb
rebuild kit on there at a great price. You might get lucky and spot
the tank there or you can email some of them and ask.
