Poor condition Lawn need help

Hi Guys

I have moved into a new build property with a very poor lawn.

The bottom end of the garden is permanentley in the shade - and in this area there is now a large, by which i mean 9ft x 6ft area - that is now bare. This area also gets very wet and almost boggy like in the winter.

Is it worth trying to keep a lwan in this area? and if so whats the best advise?

as for the rest of the lawn it is patchy and heavily compacted.

So any advice?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for reading all... but after 3 days of rain i have managed to get a fork in the lawn, so i think a regular good soaking is whats needed
