The email address pretty much narrows it down to the NYC area.
Optonline is Cablevision. But I don't understand why anyone selling
a used mower that is legitimate wouldn't give the general area that
it's
located in. Plus obviously Craigslist is by far the better and more
appropriate forum.

Considering how many people are unfamiliar with Usenet, and how many
don't even realize they're posting to a Usenet forum because they're
using GG or a gateway website that ports to Usenet, I'd bet it's most
probably ignorance.
