John deere gt 262

Anyone have a gt 262 model that they had a problem with it not starting. It
cranks and turns just no spark to my plug.
Already checked seat safety switch, replaced plug, coil. No luck. I am
getting fuel to my plug because when I pulled my old plug out, it was wet
with gas. Any ideas anyone?
Thanks,
Rick

Did you just change the oil?
Some of the Kohler models I think had an oil psi/level sensor. Then again I
might be thinking of a Mitsubishi.
Other possibilties include poor quality fuel. (naw)
holed piston (naw)
no rings (naw)
Cheapest thing is to replace the spark plug/s and wires. Then start into the
more invasive stuff.

Hey Bob,
No, haven't changed oil recently, but did check level. I know that on
some mowers they do have a safety device to keep you from ruining an engine
when oil level/pressure is too low. My engine is a Kawasaki 17 hp. Has new
fuel, new fuel filter. I already replaced my plug and wire which comes with
a new coil.
still now luck.
I know its going to be something fairly simple when I find it, its just
frustrating not knowing what it is. I'm at the point of taking it in to my
dealer now.
Anyway, thanks for replying.
