which tarp to use?

I have several pieces of lawn maintenance equipment that have to stay parked
outdoors.

What is the best kind of tarp to use as a cover? By this, I mean durable
and resistant to sun rot.

I've been using blue el cheapos that Home Depot, Lowes, and Walwart sell.
They fall apart after about 60 days or so.

There are silver, green, etc ones. Which is best? Or, should I spring for
a canvas tarp???

Vinyl is the best. Trucks and boats use them. Look in the yellow pages for a
sail and tarp shop, they may have a remnant you can pick up cheap.

Instead of replacing plastic every few months. Why not get a permit & build
them there own mini carport? No floor is need. Side walls can be made out of
variety of different things.

Wish I could, but practical considerations prevent.

Anyway, thanks for the good info.

I installed a pond in my yard last fall. I found the leftover scraps of EPDM
Rubber liner to be quite good covering for my woodpiles.
