Default bare patch under pine trees

Hi all,

I have been trying to fix bare patches on my lawn. My garden has 4 huge pine trees. As it is quite wet and there are not too many needles at the moment, I decided to use miracle gro patch magic, but it doesn't seem to do te trick.

Does anyone have any miracle techniques grow grass under pine trees ?

Thank you
-Greg

The first part of that advice is probably the best.
I have a pine tree and grass doesn't grow under it. I
just leave the needles there as a natural mulch and
spot treat any troublesome weeds, if needed. Very few
weeds even try to grow there.

The part of the advice where they say to put down lime
I think is questionable. I'm no expert on pines, but they
like acidic soil and I would think you run the risk of
killing the tree, while trying to make grass grow where
it's very difficult or impossible.
